In September 2005, Mark and I embarked on a trip to cycle around the perimeter of Hong Kong and the New Territories. We'd both lived in Hong Kong for many years and wanted to make a film to show the broad diversity of life on offer here, a film that reflected our passion and enthusiasm for the place.

We felt Hong Kong had so much more to it than the main urban centre around the harbour that most tourists experience. We wanted to get away from the city and into the heart of Hong Kong life: to travel from the remote reaches of the countryside to the distant villages and new towns of the north, to show the rich variety and contrasts found there.

We were sure that Hong Kong held many adventures and this film is the story of our's. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
